Displaying confidence seems to be an unwritten rule for getting ahead within large organizations. Those we see as displaying a outgoing personality, head held high, and they know how to say all the right things at the right time. But, is this true? 

I believe that high-achieving professionals can achieve their executive ambitions by appropriately building and applying their confidence. 

Consider two perspectives: first from Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic, Professor of business psychology at the University College London, and author of the book Confidence, and second from my experience coaching high achieving professionals.
